Inform: TEDxUofM Update

February 14, 2012

TEDxUofM 2012 will take place on March 29th at the Power Center for the Performing Arts. This marks the third annual TEDx event held at the University of Michigan and we are excited to bring the great minds of our community together. An audience made up of 1300 UofM students, faculty, and alumni will congregate to hear the stories and ideas from a lineup of speakers that are sure to inspire. Of course, they are all associated with the University of Michigan either as a student, faculty member, or alum.

Like past TEDxUofM conferences, we plan to have an outstanding speaker lineup full of academics, artists, dreamers, entrepreneurs, etc. etc. Every corner of campus will be represented both on stage, and in the audience. The application to attend is now open, you can access it here .

Yarn-Bombing Trees on the Diag

Organizing a TEDx event gives you permission to push creativity to the limit. Earlier this semester we took to the Diag and warmed it up with some X-tra love when some crazy individuals yarn-bombed some trees!

One thing that we always try to do at TEDxUofM is highlight some of the amazing students that are on campus. Here’s a sneak peak at a little project that will feature some Art & Design students:
